I went to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last night. I cannot say that I didn't enjoy it however, I did feel that there was too many American-accented people in the film and I am not really sure if that "translated" too well. Perhaps the older version of it has coloured my opinions. Still, I enjoyed it and will definitely read the book once again.
I thought the reaction of another woman and her daughter was spot on. The daughter said that she found it difficult to understand what was happening. The mother said that she thought that people were much nicer than she remembered in the original series. I have to say that I think that it did it's job with the younger woman because most of us were a little confused when we first saw it and with the mum, she was right. It was much darker back then.
For another website, you can try this. (Don't forget to try the Vogon game)
If you've seen it, I would be happy to hear what you think!
